To celebrate being able to go on holiday for as long as I like, I had decided for my first adventure ……… to drive down to Alcossebre (2 hours south of Barcelona). I would join a Camping and Caravanning Club Rally on site where one can join in the various lunches / dinners / quizzes / walks / bike rides or not join if you don’t want to. It saw it as a support system as I would be on my own.

The Route Plan:-

Week 1 – my brother would help me drive as far as Barcelona via a central route

Week 2 – on my own in Alcossebre

Week 3 – friends Judith and Nigel to join me for a long weekend

Week 4 – on my own in Alcossebre

Week 5 – niece Emily and great nephew Teddy to join for a long weekend; Husband to make his way by train via Paris and Barcelona to join me

Week 6 – Husband and I would have a few days on site and then a 10 day meander back through Spain and France via a west coast route

Week 7 – continue meandering / arrive home
