It didn’t seem like a difficult thing to do – get the bus from outside the site to Vilanova i la Geltrú station; get the train to somewhere; change to the airport train.

Unfortunately, Google and the Renfe timetable bore no resemblance at all to what was actually happening. No-one to ask. We let a train going into Barcelona go. We hummed and harrred and eventually decided to go into Barcelona Sants, waving to the airport on the way past, change trains and come back out again.

A journey that should’ve taken about 1.5 hours, took 3 hours!!

It was also a very long walk from the train station to the terminal, only to find that Terminal 2 was as far again!!

Anyway, we made it but would definitely recommend a different route another time!

We had planned to leave at 13.00 for a 18.00 flight – JW was packed by 09.28!!

My return journey was quicker at 2 hours, but I did get a taxi back from the station rather than the meandering bus.
