Today I planned a route into a slightly inland town to the south west called Torreblanca – I arrived in that odd time when the shops are closed for siesta and I struggled to find a centre – it must have one, there’s a market there once a week, today it was all a bit closed.

Giving up on Torreblanca, I cycled down a weirdly straight road towards the sea and Torrenostra which, as I discovered is a pleasant resort town. Wide promenade, sandy beach and plenty of open cafes and restaurants.
