Saturday 14th March

At lunchtime I sent an e-mail to Em saying that I thought her and Teddy’s trip to Barcelona to meet me wasn’t going to happen:-

“I think our jolly weekend in the sun is looking rather unlikely!!  They announced a lot of new cases in Spain today and I can see in the last couple of hours that Jet2 have stopped all flights to Spain today and even turned some round that were already in the air.  I would have thought EasyJet will do the same later today/tomorrow.  The Spanish government are meeting now with a statement to be made later today, so I imagine they will make their decision after that.”

Teddy was so looking forward to flying; it’s such a shame. We will wait on Foreign Office advice in the hope she can get her money back on the flights.

I bought myself some mozzarella, tomatoes and a ripe avocado from the site supermarket – I can see now I should’ve divided it up over two nights. Still, no need for a main course!
