Monday 16th March

The conversation on site is all about shall we stay or shall we go? No-one is sure what to do. Rumours of all sorts are rife, which makes things worse.

My lovely neighbours Rose and Steve came in for coffee – we had a really jolly and interesting conversation – for almost 3 hours – and were all cheered by it. They were planning to stay in Spain quite a bit longer and, if they go home to Cornwall, they have nowhere to live as their family is camping out in their house waiting for their new house to become available.

In the evening Husband and I discuss his trip to join me. When he could no longer travel to Spain we planned for him to travel by train to Perpignan and I’d meet him there.

Today, 16th March, Macron has put France in Lockdown – I’m on my own.
