HISTORY

In the beginning ………

Our family had a light blue Dormobile van when we were kids – I remember the registration now JMT 918 – our Dad converted the van to have a raising roof, one double bed, plus two off-set single beds and a mini kitchen. The tent, into which the van reversed, doubling the living space, was orange with a navy blue roof. We had many, many happy family holidays in this rather unusual looking vehicle – we loved it.

Caravan History

I’ve jointly owned a caravan with my brother, JW, since 6th July 1991:-

Elddis Avante 524 – (2002) known as ‘Ellie’ – owned April 02 – April 04

Swift Celeste 18/4 – (2004) dealer edition based on a Charisma 550 – known as ‘Rosie’ – owned April 04 – April 05 when it was stolen from storage

Swift Celeste 19/4L – (2004) dealer edition based on a Charisma 565 – known as ‘Lucky’ as it was purchased new in 2005 as a result of theft of our previous caravan. Owned June 2005 – current.
